Louise Engleman is a learning & development consultant. She is a qualified trainer, coach, assessor and mediator, with multi-sector experience in private, public, Government and not-for-profit sectors. She has added value in both traditional and entrepreneurial environments, and has a strong track record in aligning appropriate development initiatives to deliver results in relation to individual and organizational needs.
Louise specialises in communication and performance development, and has over 20 years of experience of working with a diverse range of clients. This has given her a significant depth of understanding of communication and performance issues in the workplace.
She has been self-employed for the past 11 years.
Experience
Learning & Development:
Designed and delivered learning events across stakeholder levels from senior management to operational staff in a variety of organisations including: RBS, GSK, 3663, Carlsberg, City & Guilds, Mencap, and Speakerstrust.
Louise is currently designing and delivering a 3 year L&D strategy for innocent drinks including their first capabilities framework.
She has also:
- Reviewed global job roles across Reuters News Agency’s new competency framework aligning competencies against operational reality including recommending development and learning plans to address skills/knowledge gaps in relation to required role competencies.
- Designed and delivered an 18 month resettlement programme within DEFRA, based on competency based analysis of current jobs, matching skills and experience to potential new roles within other government departments.
- Delivered two six-month Leadership & Development programmes within the Border & Immigration Agency to embed knowledge, skills and behaviours for new case workers.
Mediation
Louise is a qualified workplace mediator (Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner’s Certificate accredited by The Open College – 6 credits at NVQ Level 3) and provides, via her association with McAdam Associates, mediation services for Lambeth Council, the Medical Research Council and private clients. She is the training specialist for McAdam Associates, designing & delivering mediation training for HR and management staff at MRC.
Background
Prior to becoming self employed in 2004, Louise worked for 4 years as an internal L&D Consultant for Thomson Holidays, and 10 years as Head of L&D for the Institute of Fundraising.
